Joint custody on the rise in the country

When a couple in Dallas divorces one another, they intend to end their relationship with one another without affecting their relationship with their children. Nonetheless, traditionally, throughout the country mothers were given sole custody of the children because it was believed to be in their best interest. This usually meant that fathers did not get to spend an equal amount of time with their children, and it ended up affecting their relationship.

Organize finances carefully during divorce

When Dallas couples consider divorcing one another, there are a lot of things they usually have to consider, such as child custody, alimony and property division. Many times, one spouse is in charge of the financial matters and when that spouse gives the other one financial information, he or she believes it at face value and does not personally check into matters. However, as the case of one woman struggling with her ex-husband's debt demonstrates, this is not the best way to go about the matter.

Marital stress can lead to depression and loss of enjoyment

The term wedded bliss is often used to describe the idyllic notion of what marriage can or should be. In reality, marriage is challenging and it can be emotionally difficult to weather all of the ups and downs. In fact, new research indicates that individuals who experience adversity and stress within a marriage are often more prone to developing depression.
